Thanks for a Successful Picnic

“THANK-YOU” to all the people who made Sacred Heart Parish’s Caregivers’ Annual Coney Island picnic the wonderful success that it was.

A BIG “THANK-YOU” to God, for giving us such a wonderful day and such wonderful people!

A BIG “THANK-YOU” to the Vernon Fire Department, for loaning us their tents to keep us cool and dry!

A BIG “THANK-YOU” to all those who set up and broke down the chairs and tables!

A BIG “THANK-YOU” to all those who prepared, brought or barbequed food for all to share!

A BIG “THANK-YOU” to those who provided entertainment for the picnic!

A special “THANK-YOU” to all those who donated the wonderful items for the raffle table. Your generosity is most appreciated!

But, most of all, A BIG “THANK-YOU” to all those who came and made it the fun and satisfying experience that it was!

Save the Date for the Coney Island Picnic – June 26 – 1:30-4pm. Good food, music, raffle & games for the children. Fun for all!!

Tickets: Adults – $7 — Children: $2 (2 yrs & under – free) You’ll pay a MAXIMUM of $20 for the whole family

Donations for the Raffle Table accepted & appreciated!

Father Stan’s 40th Anniversary

Letters were recently mailed out to all parishioners containing information of Father Stan’ s upcoming celebration of his 40th anniversary of his ordination to the priesthood. A Mass of Thanksgiving celebrating this 40th anniversary will be held on Sunday, June 5, 2011 at 10:30am. Following Mass, a luncheon buffet will be held at A Villa Louisa in Bolton for all who have responded to the invitation. Mardi Gras

Our celebration of this Carnival season ends with the rapidly-approaching celebration of Mardi Gras!

Plan to join us as we celebrate Fat Tuesday this year in style on March 8 at 6:30pm.

It’s a pot-luck festivity, so it’s time to start thinking about what you’d like to bring. Make your most decadent and lusty dishes, because this festival has to carry us through the entire austere season of Lent!

Included with the pot-luck dinner will be the selection of prayer partners for Lent.

Plan on attending and remember to take this opportunity to show off your crazy hats and beads!

Youth Group Fundraiser

The Youth Group will be holding a fundraiser this weekend and next weekend. Drawing prizes will include a Christmas floral arrangement. Chances will cost $1 for 1 ticket; $5 for 6 tickets; and $10 for 12 tickets. Proceeds will help to defray the cost of the Confirmation retreat and transportation. Tickets: Children 2 years and under are free Adults are $7, Children are $5 And you’ll pay a maximum of $20 for the whole family!
